Konrad was born in 1241 in Diepholz, the son of Johann von Diepholz and Hedwig von Limmer-Wunstorf.
He died in 1301 in Y, Ham, Péronne, Somme, Picardie, France .
His wife was Hedwig von Rietberg. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their eight known children were Hedwig (c1275-c1298), Konrad (c1276-?), Rudolf III (c1278->1350), Burkhard (c1280->1309), Otto (c1282->1309), Hildebold (c1285->1330), Agnes (c1288->1237) and Simon (c1290->1320).
