Rudolf was born about 1278 in Diepholz, the son of Konrad V (VI) von Diepholz and Hedwig von Rietberg.
He died after 1350. The place is not known.
His wife was Jutta von Oldenburg-Delmenhorst. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Konrad VI (c1303-<1379).
