Ann was born about 1423 in Kirkby castle, Leicestershire, England, the daughter of sir Leonard Hastings and Alice de Camoys.

Her husband was sir Thomas Ferrers, who she married in 1448. The place has not been found. Their four known children were sir Henry (1448-c1500), Anne (c1453-1516), Mabel (c1445-?) and John (c1445-c1499).
