Ingeborg was the daughter of Valdemar I Birgersson Folkungaätten and Sofia Eriksdotter av Danmark. The date and place of her birth have not been found.
She died about 1293. The place is not known.
Her husband was Gerhard II von Holstein-Plön, who she married in ABT 1275. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Katharina (c1276-c1300), Gerhard IV (c1277-c1323), Waldemar (c1279-1308) and Elisabeth (c1282-1318/19).
