Personal and Family Information

Robert was born on 02 MAR 1316 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, the son of sir Walter Stewart and Marjory Bruce.

He died on 16 APR 1390 in Dundonald castle, Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland.

He had three marriages/partners. His first wife was Elisabeth Mure, who he married in 1336. The place has not been found. Their ten known children were John (1337-1406), Robert (1339-1420), Alexander (<1343-1394), Isabel Euphemia (1348-1410), Marjorie (c1352->1417), Jean (<1355->1404), Margaret (c1330-c1410), Walter (?-1363), Kathrine (?-?) and Elizabeth (<1355-c1389).

His second wife was Eupheme de Ros, who he married on ABT 2 MAY 1355. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Elizabeth Katherine (<1370-?), David (1357-c1386), Walter (?-1437) and Margaret (?-?).

His third wife is not known. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was sir John (c1350-<1449).
