Enguerrand was born about 1313 in Aisne, Picardie, France, the son of Guillaume I de Coucy and Isabeau de Châtillon-sur-Marne.
He died in 1344 in Crécy-en-Ponthieu .
His wife was Katharina von Habsburg, who he married on BEF 12 JAN 1337. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Enguerrand VII (1342-1397).
