Nest was born about 1330 in Merthyr Tudful, Uwch Caeach, Glamorganshire, Cymru, the daughter of Gwilym Sais ap Madog but her mother is unknown.

She died in 1388 in Cymru.

Her husband was Philip ap Llywelyn. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Gwenllian verch Philip (1388-1411) and Gwilym ap Philip (c1382-?).
