Joan was born in 1463, the daughter of sir Lancelot Threlkeld and Margaret de Bromflete. The place is not known.
She died in 1542 in Wighill, Aintsy, Yorkshire, England.
Her husband was Bryan Stapleton. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Christopher (1485-1537) and Eleanor (c1500-?).
