Friedrich was born in 1594 in Seestermüh, Schleswig-Holstein, the son of Friedrich von Ahlefeldt and Dorothea Blome.
He died on 25 MAR 1657 in Schleswig-Holstein.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Birgitte von Ahlefeldt, who he married in 1619. The place has not been found. Their six known children were Friedrich (1623-1686), Dorothea (c1624-?), Catharine (c1624-?), Elisabeth (1625-1653), Mette (1627-1668) and Margrethe (c1628-1659).
His second wife was Helvig von Roepstorff, who he married in 1632. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Bendix (1633-1676), Cai (c1634-1704), Catharine (c1635-1694) and Bertha (?-1672).
