Inês was born about 1327 in Reino de Galiza, the daughter of Pedro Fernández de Castro and Aldonça Lourenço de Valadares.
She died in 1355 in Coimbra, dist. Coimbra, Beira Litoral, Portugal .
Her husband was Pedro I de Portugal, who she married in 1346. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Brites (c1347-1381), Affonso (c1348-?), João (1349-1397) and Diniz (1354-1397).
