Roger was born on 10 JUL 1333 in Clifford Castle, Herefordshire, England , the son of Robert III de Clifford and Isabel de Berkeley.

He died on 13 JUL 1389/90 in Appleby, Westmorland, England.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Maud de Beauchamp, who he married on BEF 20 MAR 1357. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Phillipe (c1355->1405), Katherine (c1358-1413), sir Lewis (c1359-1404), Thomas (c1363-1391), Margaret (c1367-c1455), Alice (c1370-?) and Maud (c1373-1442).

His second wife was Euphemia de Neville. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. They had no known children.
