Elizabeth was born about 1414 in Y Barri, Glamorgan, Glamorganshire, Galles, the daughter of sir Thomas de la Barre and Alice Talbot.

She died in 1468 in Burford, Tenbury Wells, Shropshire, England.

Her husband was Edmund de Cornwall, who she married in Weobley, Herefordshire, England . The date has not been found. Their five known children were John (c1406-?), Thomas (1407-1472), Richard (c1413-?), Otis (c1420-c1469) and Eleanor (c1428-1519).
