Eleanor was born about 1428 in Burford, Tenbury Wells, Shropshire, England, the daughter of Edmund de Cornwall and Elizabeth de la Barre.

She died on 23 DEC 1519 in Croft Castle, Yarpole, Herefordshire, England .

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was sir Richard Croft, who she married in 1455. The place has not been found. Their eight known children were John (c1441-1463), Sybil (1451-?), Elizabeth (c1462-1527), sir Edward (c1465-1541), Margaret (c1467-?), Jane (1470-1499), Joyce (1472-?) and Robert (1476-?).

Her second husband was sir Hugh Mortimer. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Elizabeth (c1462-1527) and John (?-<1504).
