Ariaranthes was the son of Ariaranthes IV Eusebes and Antiochis of Syria. The date and place of his birth have not been found.
His wife was Nysa. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Ariaranthes VI Epiphanes Philopater (?-0111BC).
