Berenice was the daughter of deified Ptolemy II Philadelphos and Arsinoë I. The date and place of her birth have not been found.
Her husband was Antiochus II Theos, who she married in 0261 B.C.. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Seleucus (?-?).

After the death of his father, Antiochus, he was proclaimed king by his mother, Laodice in Ephesos, while her partisans at Antioch murdered Berenice and her son. When Ptolemy died in 246 BC, Antiochus took Laodice back but died immediately thereafter (she is said to have poisoned him).
