Notes

Note 1

Ozanne spent the rest of her life with son Jacques, who inherited the land of Ange Gardien and on March 9th 1696, she went to a notary named Francois Grenaple to give her son her belongings, though she kept the rights to her properties to be able to protect her two unmarried daughters. She asked that at the time of her death, Jacques makes sure that 20 masses be celebrated for the repose of her soul. She died at the age of 75 on Christmas eve 1707 at Ange Gardien where she was buried only a few steps from her house.

The mother of the Tremblay of America ended a full and successful carrier of a generous and noble woman. In 1957, at the three hundredth anniversary of her marriage, she was recognized for her great record of decendants in Canada and worldwide, which at that time was 60,000 Tremblay of all walks of life, trades, talents, occupations and vocations.
