She died on 25 MAR 1323 in Nápoly.
Her husband was Charles II d'Anjou, who she married in 1270. The place has not been found. Their fourteen known children were Charles I Martel (1271-1295), Marguerite (1273-1299), saint Louis (1274-1297), Robert I (1277-1343), Philippe I (1278-1332), Blanche (1280-1310), Raymond Berenger (1281-1307), Jean (1283-?), Tristan (1284-1286), Eléanore (1289-1341), Marie (1290-1347), Pierre (1292-1315), Jean (1294-1336) and Beatrix of Naples Béatrice (c1295-1320/21).

En 1290, son frère Ladislas IV de Hongrie meurt sans héritier. Marie réclame le trône face à ses sœurs, elle sera couronnée par un légat du pape à Naples 1291 et abdique en faveur de son fils Charles Martel de Hongrie.
