He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Béatrice de Provence, who he married on 31 DEC 1245 in Aix-en-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côtes-d'Azur, France. Their seven known children were Louis (1248-1248), Blanche (1250-1269), Béatrice (1252-1279), Charles II (c1254-1309), Philippe (1256-1277), Isabelle (1261-1303) and Robert (1258-1265).
His second wife was Marguerite de Bourgogne, who he married in 1268. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
