Jelisaveta was born about 1283 in Serbia, the daughter of Stepan Uroš Dragutin Nemanjić and Katalin Árpád.
She died in 1331 in Raška (a region in south-central Serbia, Kosovo and northern Montenegro).
Her husband was Stjepan II Kotroman, who she married in AFT 1283. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Ninoslav (c1288->1314), Stjepan II (c1292-1353), Vladislav (c1295-1353/54), Katarina (c1294-c1355) and Marija (c1308-?).
