Philip was born about 1275 in Is Coed, Cardiganshire, Cymru, the son of Ifor ap Cadivor of Iscoed but his mother is unknown.

He died about 1300 in Cymru.

His wife was Gwenllian verch Llewellyn. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Eleanor verch Philip Goch (c1305-1337).
