Mary was born about 1324 in Stobhall, Cargill, Perthshire, Scotland, the daughter of sir William Montefichet but her mother is unknown.

She died before SEP 1361 in Scobhill, Lynton, Devon, England.

Her husband was sir John Drummond. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their eight known children were Annabel (c1351-c1401), sir Malcolm (c1351-c1402), Margaret (c1354-?), sir John (1356-1428), Mary (1357-?), William (1358-?), Jean (1362-?) and Dougal (?-?).
