Margaret was born about 1363 in Bronxmouth, Roxburghshire, Scotland, the daughter of sir Patrick Gray but her mother is unknown.

She died in 1432 in Scotland.

Her husband was sir William de la Haye. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Gilbert (c1396-1436) and Jean (c1399-?).
