Elizabeth was born about 1621 in Panmure, Panbride, Angus, Scotland, the daughter of Patrick Maule and Frances Stanhope.

She died in OCT 1659 in Castle Lyon, Scotland.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was John Lyon, who she married on ABT 20 AUG 1641. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Patrick (1643-1695), Joan (?-?) and Elizabeth (?-?).

Her second husband was George Livingston, who she married on 30 JUL 1659. The place has not been found. Their eight known children were Margaret (c1651-?), James (c1652-?), Henrietta (c1653-1683), George (c1654-1695), Frances (c1656-?), Jeanne (c1657-?), Alexander (c1658-1692) and Joanne (c1659-?).
