Dorothea was born on 26 NOV 1547 in Södel, the daughter of Friedrich Magnus zu Solms-Laubach-Sonnenwalde and Agnes von Wied.
She died on 18 SEP 1595 in Gera.
Her husband was Heinrich XVI Reuß zu Gera, who she married on 6 JAN 1566. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Agnes (1567-1588), Anna (1568-1594), Dorothea (1570-1631) and Heinrich II Posthumus (1572-1635).
