He died about 1370 in Adlington, Macclesfield, Lancashire, England.
His wife was Matilda de Norley. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their three known children were sir Piers (c1320-1399), Susannah (c1334-c1410) and sir Robert II (c1334-1382).
