Joan was born about 1300 in Ulster, the daughter of Richard de Burgh and Margaret de Burgh.
She died in 1359. The place is not known.
She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Thomas FitzJohn FitzGerald, who she married on 16 AUG 1312 in Greencastle, co. Down, Eire. Their three known children were John (1314-1323), Richard (1317-1329) and Maurice FitzThomas (1318-1390).
Her second husband was John Darcy. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Elizabeth Anne (1332-1390) and William (c1330-?).
