William was born about 1327 in Lincolnshire, England, the son of sir William de Skipwith and Margaret de Ormsby FitzSimon.
He died after 1392. The place is not known.
His wife was Alice de Hiltoft. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were John (c1351-1415), William (c1353-c1388), Alice (c1355-1412), Richard (c1356-?), Margaret (c1360-c1415) and Patrick (c1365-?).
