Eberhard was born about 1255, the son of Engelbert I von der Marck and Kunigunde von Bliescastel. The place is not known.

He died on 04 JUL 1308 in Fröndenberg, Arnsberg.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Irmgard von Berg, who he married in ABT 1273. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Mechtild (?->1342), Margareta (c1278->1327), Kunigunde (?-?), Adolf (1278-1344), Konrad (?-1353), Irmgard (<1291-?) and Katherine (c1293-?).

His second wife was Maria van Loon-Chiny, who he married on AFT 22 MAR 1294. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Engelbert II (c1282-1328), Maria (c1300-?), Richardis (?->1324), Johanna (?->1358) and Engelbert (?->1362).
