Ziemowit was born about 1320, the son of Trojden I von Massow and Maria von Halicz. The place is not known.

He died on 16 JUN 1381 in Czersk, Bydgoszcz, Poland.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Eufemie Opavská, who he married in 1335. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Ziemowit IV (<1352-1426), Malgorzata (<1358-<1396), Janusz I (?-1429), Anna (<1345->1403) and Eufemia (?-<1424).

His second wife was Ludmilla von Schlesien-Münsterberg, who he married in BEF 1365. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Henryk (?-1392/93).
