He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Joan Giffard. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Margareta (c1380-c1440) and Richard II (c1395-1442).
His second wife was Joan Thornbury. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Joanna (1435-1457).
