Edward was born about 1415 in Ruthin, Denbighshire, Cymru, the son of Reynold Grey and Joan de Astley.
He died on 18 DEC 1457 in Groby Old Hall, Groby, Leicestershire, England.
His wife was Elizabeth Ferrers, who he married in BEF 1426. The place has not been found. Their four known children were sir John (c1432-1461), Edward (1442-1492), Reynald (c1452-?) and Anne (c1456-c1507).
