Margaret was born about 1444 in Scotland, the daughter of sir Robert Innes and Margaret Douglas.

She died about 1522 in Deskford, Banffshire, Scotland.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was sir James Ogilvy. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Margaret (c1430-?), Katherine-Mary (c1449-?), Muriel (c1463-?), James (c1463-1505), Janet (c1470-?) and Alexander (c1470-?).

Her second husband was John Berkeley. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Marjory (c1445-1499).
