Katharine was born about 1495 in Steyr, the daughter of Dietrich von Reichkorn but her mother is unknown.
Her husband was Wolfgang von Dietrichstein, who she married in 1517. The place has not been found. Their eleven known children were Ursule (c1520-?), Moritz II (1522-c1590), Katharina Esther (1524-?), Sofie (1526-?), Magdalene (1528-?), Susanne Felicie (c1530-?), Klara (?-?), Gertraud (?-?), Elisabeth (?-?), Barbara (?-?) and Susanna (?-?).
