Margaret was born about 1464 in Kilkenny Castle, the daughter of Thomas Butler and Anne Hankford.
She died in 1539/40 in England.
Her husband was sir William Boleyn, who she married in 1465. The place has not been found. Their ten known children were Anne (1475-1555), Thomas (c1477-1539), John (1481-1484), Anthony (c1483-1493), Jane (c1485-1543), Alice (?-1538), Margaret (c1489-?), William (c1491-1571), sir James (c1493-1561) and sir Edward (c1496-?).
