Beate was born about 1448 in Danmark, the daughter of Volf III Pogwisch and Catharine Rønnow.
She died about 1508. The place is not known.
Her husband was Ove Clausen Rantzau. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their three known children were Wolf Ovesen (c1485-1568), Dorothea Ovesdotter (c1487-c1550) and Claus Ovesen (?-1542).
