Adam was born about 1455 in Prymes Castle Werrall, Cheshire, England, the son of sir William Troutbeck and Margaret Stanley.

He died before 1510 in Mobberley, Cheshire, England.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Margaret Butler. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Margaret (c1492->1521).

His second wife was Edith Molyneux, who he married in 1511. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
