Catherine was born in 1465 in Tretower Castle, Powys, Wales, the daughter of Thomas Vaughan and Cecily verch Morgan.
Her husband was Richard Harley. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were John (c1491-1542), William (c1493-?), Thomas (c1495-?) and Catharine (c1497-?).
