Philipp was born on 09 DEC 1486 in Waldeck, the son of Philipp II von Waldeck-Eisenberg and Katharina zu Solms-Lich.
He died on 20 JUN 1539 in Arolsen.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Adelheid von Hoya, who he married in 1503. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Otto (1504-1541), Elisabeth (1506-c1562), Wolrad II (1509-1578) and Erika (1511-1560).
His second wife was Anna van Kleef, who he married in 1518. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Johann I (1521/22-1567), Katharina (1524-1583), Philipp IV (1519/20-1584), Franz (c1526-1574) and Elisabeth (c1528-?).
