Hans was born on 09 JUN 1538 in Hornstorf, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the son of Didrik Blome and Margarethe Meinstorp.

He died on 18 AUG 1599 in Wetzlar.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Sophie Rantzau, who he married in BEF 1588. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Sophie (1558->1618) and Schack (1559-1595).

His second wife was Katharina Sture. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their eleven known children were Thomas (1574-1606), Hans (1575/76->1618), Helvig (1577-1663), Wulf (1582-1667), Mette (c1583-1646), Didrik (1584-c1617), Henrik (c1586-1626), Adolph (c1590-1611), Margarethe (c1594->1665), Christian Frederik (<1598->1621) and Hedevig (?->1611).
