Jens was born about 1322, the son of Niels Iversen Rosenkrantz and Susanne Nielsdatter Gyllenstierna. The place is not known.
He died after 1377 in Heveringholm, Sønderland.
His wife was Margrethe Timmesdatter Krummedige. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their three known children were Niels Jensen (c1352-c1424), Erik Jensen (?-c1431) and Elsebe Jensdatter (?->1433).
