His wife was Marie-Jeanne Hunault dit Deschamps, who he married on 3 FEB 1728 in Repentigny, L'Assomption QC . Their ten known children were Pierre-Charles (1729-1765), Étienne (1731-1758), Jean-Baptiste (1733-1756), Marie-Agathe (1735-1763), Michel (1737-?), Joseph (1738-1783), Antoine (1742-?), Marie-Charlotte (1743-?), Marie-Louise (1746-1746) and Louis (1749-1749).

Emil L'Homme's family group sheets 7/96: Our French Canadian Ancestors,vol XX, p. 128-9: 28 May 1726, hired by Louis Gatineau & Co. to make journey to the high country,to help take a canoe of merchandise and to bring it back out loaded with pelts, on 3 Feb1728 he mar. They raised 6 children, he fell twice more to the lure of adventure - on 16 Jun 1736 and12 Jun 1737, he took goods to the post at Michilimakinac.
