His wife was Euphrosyne de Kiev, who he married in 1146. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were István III (1147-1172), Béla III (1148-1196), Géza III (c1150-<1210), Erszébet (1148-1191), Odola (?-?), Ilona (c1158-1199) and Margit (1162-?).
