Mstislav was born on 01 JUN 1076 in Turaŭ (Ту́раў), Zhytkavichy Raion, Homiel prov., Belarus , the son of Vladimir II Monomakh and Gytha de Wessex.

He died on 14 APR 1132 in Kiev (Kyiv, Київ, Киев) (now in Ukraine) .

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Kristina Ingesdatter, who he married in 1095. The place has not been found. Their ten known children were Iziaslav II (c1097-1154), saint Gavril Vsevolod (<1103-1138), Malmfred (c1105->1137), Ingeborg (?-?), Eupraxia Mstislavna (?-1136), Maria (?-1179), Rostislav (c1110-1167), Sviatopolk (?-?), Rogneda (?-?) and Xenia (?-?).

His second wife was Liubava Dmitrievna, who he married in 1122. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Euphrosyne (1128-<1193) and Vladimir II (1132-1163).
