Mathurin was born in OCT 1606 in Le Renouard, Vimoutiers, Argentan, Orne, Basse-Normandie, France , the son of Pierre Gagnon and Madeleine-Rénée Roger.
He died on 20 APR 1677 in Château-Richer, la Côte-de-Beaupré QC .
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Françoise Godeau, who he married on 30 SEP 1647 in Basilique-Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Québec QC . Their six known children were Madeleine (1650-1680), Mathurin (1653-1713), Françoise (1655-1680), Marguerite (1663-1742), Pierre (1672-?) and Joseph (1677-1745).
His second wife was Vincente Gauthier, who he married in France. The date has not been found. Their only known child was Marie-Marthe (c1635-1670).
