Personal and Family Information

Danylo was born about 1201 in Halych (Галич, Halicz), Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine (formerly in Galicia-Volhynia) , the son of Roman Mstislavich and Anna-Euphrosyne Angelina.

He died in 1264 in Khelm (Chełm, Poland).

His wife was Anna Mstislavna of Novgorod, who he married in 1218. The place has not been found. Their six known children were Ustiniya Danylovna (c1225-?), Lev I (c1228-c1301), Roman Danylovich (c1230-c1261), Mstislav Danylovich (c1232->1300), Ioann Danylovich (c1234-1269/70) and Sofija Danilovna (c1244-c1290).
