Note 1
The spouse of Nuño González de Lara was one of three women, each according to a reliable source. However, each of the three women was either a daughter or grand-daughter of Alfonso IX de Léon. In this situation, I have indicated the spouse as an unknown daughter of Alfonso IX and added the three women as "Aliases" in the tree.
Note 2
The filiation of Teresa Alfonso has been debated by several genealogists and historians. According to the count of Barcelos, Teresa was the daughter of King Alfonso IX and his mistress Aldonza Martínez de Silva. Luis of Salazar and Castro believed that his father was Pedro Alfonso of León, master of the order of Santiago and supposed illegitimate son of King Alfonso IX of Leon. Julio González González historian argued that it could have been daughter of Urraca Alfonso of León, illegitimate daughter of Alfonso IX of Leon, and Lope Díaz II de Haro, Lord of Biscay. The genealogist Szabolcs de Vajay discards the two latest affiliations since his patronymic was Pérez or Lopez and not Alfonso. It suggests that Teresa could be an illegitimate daughter of Alfonso de Molina.1 This filiation deducts it from a document dated in 1243 of King Alfonso X of Castile where recalls his friend and vassal, count Nuno to «... prayed and asked the King don Ferrando, his father, that you give Earth et vos fiziese et cauallero you give in marriage to donna Teresa Alfonso, his cormana, granddaughter of the Lion King...» », 2 i.e., that Teresa, in the words of the King, was cormana (carnal premium) of Alfonso X of Castile and granddaughter of Alfonso IX of León.
