I moved here from Toronto after travelling through the Northern states of the Evil Empire. It was a very hot trip, starting directly from my last residence in TO.

Bonaventure Apartments was a very nice older building on Comox Street. The rent was very high but not out of line for the West End. Kenneth Wahl was my next-door neighbour. Our kitchen windows faced each other. You can find the windows of the front of my apartment by moving the mouse in front of them slowly.

John Taylor shared the place with me for the year we were there. Somewhat after I left Bonaventure, the City of Vancouver bought it and is using it as assisted housing. The nerve. I could barely afford it and now people live in it who don't even work - for whatever reason.

I stayed here for only one year. I had received an additional year of leave but without pay. I moved to Columbia Place in July 1990.
