Margaret was born in 1353 in York castle, Yorkshire, England, the daughter of sir Ralph de Hastings and Isabel de Saddyngton.

She died in 1406 in Croydon, Cambridgeshire, England.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was sir Roger Heron. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were William (c1370-1428) and Isabel (c1375-?).

Her second husband was John Blackett. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was John (c1381-1412).
