Robert was born about 1367 in Mappowder, Dorset, England, the son of John Coker and Eleanor de la Veale.
His wife was Elizabeth Turges. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were sir Robert William (c1401-c1455) and John (1422-c1500).
