Robert was born in 1379 in Lorn, Argyllshire, Scotland, the son of sir John Stewart and Isabel MacDougall.
He died on 20 DEC 1449 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.
His wife was Margaret Stewart, who he married on ABT 27 SEP 1397. The place has not been found. Their five known children were John (c1397-1463), Alan (c1404-<1463), sir David (c1406-1444), Walter (c1410-1488/89) and Robert (c1410-?).
